SKM group holds substantial shares in Ghanashyam Misra And Sons Pvt Ltd. (Gms) , Which Have Been In The Mining Business For The Past Four Decades. Today, The Group Has Mining Operations At Gorumahisani Iron Ore Mines In Orissa, Having A Capacity To Deliver About 2 Million Tpa Of High Grade Iron-Ore (Fe Content Of 64% - 66%). Gorumahisani Iron Ore Mines Is Known In The Pages Of Human History As Being The First Iron Ore Mines In India And Second In South-East Asia.
Steel & Power
Steel manufacturing represents the industrial portfolio of SKM Group, backed by substantial shareholdings in multiple integrated steel and power enterprises. Group companies include:

These enterprises operate Integrated Steel Plants comprising Pellet Plants, Captive Power Plants, SMS Casters, Structural Rolling Mills, and private railway sidings. In FY 2024, the Group’s steel business achieved ₹3,200 crores in sales with an EBITDA of ₹560 crores.
